Super cute and quirky place. Loved the decor and overall vibe of the place. I need to come back during the summer, where I imagine the garage controls and bites al freco. The bites I had were delicious. The cocktails just as yummy.
Huge front patio area with separate tented "indoor" area gives guests plenty of space to enjoy drinks and Asian fusion food. Bao buns had perfectly crispy pork belly. They just got a new dessert/pastry chef, be sure to get whatever the dessert of the day is. We had a delicious sweet cheesy cream cookie thing(no picture, ate too fast), surprisingly sophisticated! Fun bartenders and staff.
We had an amazing dinner at Backbar this evening! The restaurant gave kind of bohemian vibes and the service was amazing. Everyone was SO friendly and accommodating. We brought our dog because we saw it was dog friendly online. Fully intending to have to sit outside we were pleasantly surprised when they said we could sit outside or anywhere we wanted inside. There were plenty of other dogs inside too and we just loved the vibe of it. The food was so different and good! We got the cumin spiced tots, fried lemongrass chicken dumplings, pork belly bao buns, and dan dan noodles. Everything was delicious and came out very quickly. We tried the pineapple cider and kolsch which we also enjoyed. My only complaint about this place is that they are priceyyyyy. I was surprised by how much some of the stuff cost, but the quality was spot on. I hope to come back again and definitely recommend it if you are in the area!
Chicken sandwich is terrific. Jazz band Saturday nights Atmosphere is fun and casual. Featured drinks changing constantly Hot milled cider with your choice of spirits. Honey spiced whiskey sour is oeiginal. See Jason the bartender to get the best treatment. Huge outdoor patio.
We had dinner outside. It was perfect. My kids really didn’t behave but nobody cared. We ordered 3 plates to share and drinks. I thought it was pleasant. The noodles were salty but my kids loved it . I had the bao buns .it was delicious. I liked my waiter and the fact that they are giving you a biper . It was fast and nice.
Very cool building and atmosphere. Ordered the pork bao buns and green curry chicken pot stickers. Both were delicious! Didn't catch her name but the bartender was was very informative and friendly as well!
What a great spot! The food was delicious, the outdoor seating was spacious and lovely, the band and DJ was so fun, the owner, Nicole was a delight and the staff was excellent! I will be back! Thanks for letting me offer astrology readings!
Been coming here for several years now. I think 2019, but the memory is fading, hence these Google reviews/ journal. The food is always good. Menu changed up a bit since the first time. It’s got “ East Asian” flavors in a lot of their dishes, aka it’s never bland, although sometimes it can be a bit too salty. I say that because my partner in crime is salt sensitive. I hate saying Asian flavors, because Asia is so damn big, it never makes sense. But to pinpoint a country would be hard for me. Malaysian could ring true because that’s one country that has both south and East Asian flavors. Service has changed too, but that’s happening all over the country, me thinks. Expect to get but my mosquitoes if dining outside during warmer times. The inside, especially the front half is cozy during cooler months. When I’m in town, with a limited amount of time and room to eat, I somehow always make it here. Like the other restaurants, the hours and days they’re open can be confusing depending on season.
This is a great outdoor space to hang out and have a drink and a meal. I was impressed with the bibimbap. At first, I thought the little tofu cubes looked odd but they were delicious and worked well with the dish. This would be a great spot for a summer gathering.
Perfect spot for food and a cold beer after a long hike. They do Asian food just right — the cucumber salad, chicken bites, and coconut curry bolognese are all must-orders. The Szechuan pepper dumplings are tasty but bring some heat, so be warned. Laid-back vibe with a great selection of local beers. Can’t go wrong.
